i love love.

so i've decided to blog. i mean who doesn't? it's 2009 ya'll.

soon, very soon, i will be putting up some vintage clothes to sell. if i come home with one more grandma dress, my husband just might flip his lid. i shall keep you guys posted. everyone needs a little old love in their closet!

tonight, i'll make this post short and sweet. ill kick of this new venture in my life by sharing a sweet lesson on love and grace i learned from one of my clients tonight while cutting her hair. she told me of a night when her and her friend went to play pool at a bar. she went to buy a drink, only bringing her wallet to the bar and leaving her purse at the table. when she came back, she noticed her phone was no longer in her purse. she then approached the bartender and asked him to call her phone. she heard the ring coming from a frail and badly bruised woman's purse who was right next to her. my client confronted the lady, asking for her phone back and the woman began to sob as she shamefully handed over the stolen phone. she began to tell her life story, filled with heartaches and regrets. my client listened and before she left, handed her some cash and told her to take care of herself.

i loved hearing this short story. it comforts me to see that there is good in this world. how ironic that the woman who got stolen from gives to the stealer. what grace! i was having trouble today loving on people and after listening to my guest, i realized it's importance.

"...it rejoices in the truth; it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. love never fails."
1 corinthians 13:8
